Angling Rules – Lower Pen-y-clawdd Farm Fishery
License
No fishing can take place without a valid rod license.
Baits
No Meats (including luncheon meat) No Boilies, Nuts, Ground Bait in any shape or form, Floating Crusts, Bread or Dog Biscuits.
APPROVED BAIT: Sweetcorn, Maggots, Worms, Casters, Pellets, Prawns & Mussels
Keepnets
KEEPNETS are ONLY allowed for approved match day angling.
Rods
ONE rod per angler (one standby rod is permitted). Each angler MUST have their own landing nets and a disgorger. Please use an unhooking mat when removing hooks from the fish. To maintain fish welfare please keep the handling of the fish to an absolute minimum.
Hooks & Rigs
PLEASE use ONLY barbless hooks between the sizes of 12 to 18 (largest hook permitted is size 12) Random checks on hooks will be undertaken.
Maximum line strength 8lb with a hook line of 6lb.
No braided rigs, No fixed bolt rigs, No stops above the feeder bomb.
Under 16’s
UNDER 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Prohibited
No BBQ’s, NO alcohol and NO dogs allowed.
Rubbish
ALL unused bait, hooks & line must be taken home on your departure. DO NOT throw it back into the water or discarded on the banks. Anyone found to be leaving litter will be banned.
Vehicles
VEHICLES: Please park in designated areas only.

ALL persons and vehicles visiting the fishery do so at their own risk. The fishery owners DO NOT take responsibility for any damage, accident, loss or injury to their own or other people’s property. Please be respectful to other anglers, failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave.
